Psychology/iatry Has Blood On Its Hands

The world of the psychology/iatry is broken. (I know they are two somewhat distinct fields, and whilst there is some difference, there is also overlay between psychology and psychiatry). It was dealt a devastating blow in the 2000s. This stemmed from the over-prescription of anti-depressants, and the falsified research that lead to countless deaths. And funny enough these deaths were classified as suicides and not murders perpetrated by doctors and drug companies.

Yes, the anti-depressants heralded at the onset of the 1990s were largely relied on falsified data by their parent drug companies. (The British regulatory agency, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHPRA) found that in some of the trials the risk of suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts was two times greater among Paxil (paroxetine)).

Now, as Jung spins in his grave, psychology has done an about face. Talk about running from your problems: The entire profession has now found something new to dedicated itself to. The healthy person. Yes, the person that just wants to be a little happier. Kinda like the dentist who whitens peoples teeth, that is exactly what “Positive Psychology” is.

It is new, American, unscientific as ever, and completely abhorrent to me.

If you ask me these people are the ones that should fucking kill themselves.

However, they won't? Why should they? They are completely devoid of a honor or compassion.

  1. Nope, I haven't checked it out. Can you show me the link to that too? hahaha. Sorry about all these requests. You seem very knowledgeable about a lot of things. And I agree with you about life coaches. They are in "the trenches" so to speak.
